To create a Facebook business page you must first have a personal profile (in the unlikely case you don’t already have a personal profile, you can sign up for one here).
You can either visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/creation/ or click on the triangle on the top right side of your Facebook homepage which will give you a drop-down menu, click on ‘Create Page’. Then you can choose what page category you would like to be, use the ‘Business of Brand’ option if you are wanting to create a page to showcase your products and services.
You can then enter your Facebook business page name and choose a category you would like to be listed under. Our imaginary business, for example, is Sea Breeze Cafe, I have entered the page into the category cafe, there are lots of options to choose from. You can then enter your business address and telephone number, Facebook gives you the option to hide your address if this is something you would like to keep private.
Add your profile picture, much like your personal profile picture this will be the image people see next to your posts and when they search for your Facebook business page. Use your logo, a picture of your store or anything you think fit and eye-catching. The Ideal profile picture size is 360 x 360 pixels but all profile pictures must be at least a minimum size of 180 x 180 pixels.
You can then pick your cover photo, the optimal size for a Facebook cover photo is 828 x 465 pixels.
Voila! Here is your Facebook business page, it will look a bit bare but if you click through the Facebook tips to fill in more detail it will all start to come together.
